Short Bio

I am currently a Senior Lecturer and Associate Head of People and Culture at The School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, researcher of Australian Institute for Machine Learning, The University of Adelaide. I am also an Honorary Lecturer at The School of Computing, Macquarie University.
I obtained PhD from the School of Computer Science at the University of Adelaide. Before joining The University of Adelaide, I spent two years at Macquarie University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow.
I also have six years of industry experience in different roles in the industry.

Research Interests

My interest areas include text mining, natural language processing, information retrieval and Internet of Things applications, but not limited to. My current research relates to three specific areas:

  • Text summarization
  • AIoT
  • Adversarial attacks on deep neural models for text
  • Medical information extraction
